May 19, 2018 ... The Battle Creek Chorus - Sweet Adelines (BCC), under the direction of Certified Harmony 500 Director Lynne Erskine Peirce,  recently returned from Great Lakes Harmony Region 17 Competition May 18-19  in Cleveland, Ohio and was awarded 2018 - First Place, Division A and placed Sixth overall. Fourteen Choruses competed on stage.   

BCC is an award-winning a cappella chorus for women singers, earning many accolades, including 2017’s 1st Place Division A and 2016’s 2nd Place Division A.  Sweet Adelines International (SAI) Great Lakes Harmony Region 17 contains parts of Indiana, Michigan, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania and has over 900 members in 24 choruses and over 37 registered quartets. 

 

SUREFIRE PLACES 2nd AND EARNS WILD CARD AT SAI ST. LOUIS COMPETITION

Also at the Regional Competition, Surefire Quartet placed 2nd in the Quartet Division and won the Livewire Showmanship award. Sixteen quartets competed. As a result of their performance and score, Surefire has been invited and has accepted an invitation by SAI to compete as a Wildcard Quartet at the upcoming International Competition to be held in St. Louis, October 15-20, 2018. They ranked among the ten highest scoring quartets who placed second in Regional contests across the globe. Please click here to read more about Surefire
